What is self-development to you? 

 

What role does self-development play in your life? Do you have at least a few minutes everyday to focus solely on yourself? 

 

The first hour of your day or your morning is the most effective hour to focus on yourself. Look at your present life, how does your first hour of your day look? Does it represent the person you want to become, your dreams and visions? How do you feel in the morning motivated and full of energy or rather overwhelmed and rushed?

Make space in your life - for change, for growth, for yourself. 

 

Imagine how your life could change if you spent the first few minutes after waking up at a slower pace. You'd have a morning routine that gets you started and properly ushers you into a day that is truly just beginning.

 

Studies have shown that with the right morning routine, within 66 days you'll experience a boost in efficiency, higher energy levels throughout the day and better mental clarity.

Tina Novakova

Certified meditation and yoga teacher, energetic coach and Human Design reader

My self-development journey started when I was 15 years old, when all my peers interest was around self-exploration though party and alcohol and mine was though self-development books and courses which lead me to be today a young person in the field of coaching, entrepreneurship and self-discovery.

 

Before my work became my passion I worked in real-estate, which brought me financial freedom to my life as well as time to focus on my practice, my healing journey. After reading hundreds of self-help, motivational books, I understood in very young age how crucial role our mindset plays in our lives. It’s the translator to how we see and interpret life situations. My positive and unlimiting mindset brought me to a place where I started my first (non-self-development related) business at the age of 21 years old.

 

While working on myself in the outer world, I was also working on my inner world. My one habit that I could not miss for a single day for 4 years was meditation.  I started practicing at 5 minutes everyday and gotten to a place where it is comfortable for me to meditate 30 minutes a day, preferably in the morning as part of my morning routine that I was at this stage practicing for over 2 years.

I have become much calmer, more balanced and a person with greater inner peace and fulfillment. ​

I have been diagnosed with low imunity and felt sick at least 1-2 times a month, which really left me with a fully lived week or two per month. With my morning routine I was able to lower my stress levels and strengthen my immunity with a weekly sauna sessions and I was not sick for a whole year! Which I still consider one of my biggest achievement in my life, but my old version would not be disciplined enough, would not have a strong vision to become fully healthy again. 

 

So what is a morning routine for me? It is the way, the tone, the activities that you choose to do the first hour of your day. Most people would spend this hour by getting ready and going to work. I wake up early enough to make sure I have my morning me-time aka my morning routine. Not going into too much detail, this would involve meditation, journaling, gratitude, getting outside, get my body moving and eat breakfast while still having my phone on airplane mode.  

 

But we are all unique and so is our morning routine. When I am making your personalized morning routine I take into account your time availability, life priorities, already established routines and long-term goals. It has been scientifically proven that the first hour of our day is crucial for our lives and can boost our productivity, immunity, vital energy, standard of living and reduce the stress of everyday life. It’s the magic pill everybody’s looking for. 

 

One day, I got a vision in my morning meditation to bring more focus on morning routines in peoples life. I listened to my calling and founded a company with this purpose. Now, almost two years after launching the brand First Hour by Tina, the core message stayed, but the ideas just expanded, when I realized that my mind is my only limitation in how deep I can go with guiding people. I have successfully finished a hypnotherapy coaching certification with Mindvalley, 9 month course energetic coaching in practice with Sarka Chapman, 200h yoga teacher training with Yoga Alliance and 50h self-inquiry and meditation teacher training with Yoga Alliance and level 1 Human Design certification.

 

In the first year as an entrepreneur in self-development I have also started coaching clients - see reviews below for their own words on my work, but have not stopped evolving myself either. While finishing my meditation teacher training in Bali I met my love, who have shaken my world in the best way possible, life has never been so sweet for me and my close people would agree that I have manifested him into my life. However, with a great romance also comes great loss, after 4 years of daily morning routine and meditation, I have stopped for half a year and I have realized more than ever its benefits. 

 

Navigating change has been a great topic of mine for the past year. As I have moved to a different country, became part of a new social group, started a new love relationship, finished my masters degree with that my student life and delt with cultural differences and let me tell you finding peace and calmness from a place of chaos & instability is not easy. 

 

After spending 3 months in Galway I can say I feel rooted and at home here. I was able to find the connection to myself, a way to navigate the new beginning and let go of everything that is not serving me anymore with the practice of my morning routine, yet again! First hour of my day truly changes my life for the better everyday. It brings me purpose, calmness and balance.

 

And now, when I feel rooted, supported and balanced in my new era I am ready to spread my spiritual wings here with creating in-person workshops, classes while still continuing my online coaching business.
